Results for Soham North Ward By-election

On Thursday 22 June 2017, voters took to the polls to vote in the East Cambridgeshire District Council Soham North Ward By-Election.


The count venue was the Walter Gidney Pavillion, Fountain Lane, Soham.
The turnout was announced as 17.8%.


At 22:41pm, the Returning Officer, John Hill, declared the count totals, which are as follows: 
The total number of ballot paper counted was 712
The number of votes cast in favour of Mark Brannan Goldsack (The Conservative Party) - 423
The number of votes cast in favour of Alec Lionel Jones (Liberal Democrats) - 178
The number of votes cast in favour of Peter James Tyson (Labour Party) - 108

The total number of rejected ballot papers was 3.
The winning candidate is confirmed as Mark Brannan Goldsack.
