Who do I contact to make a complaint about dog fouling?
If you are aware of an owner allowing their dog to foul and not picking it up, then contact the Waste Services. The Enforcement Officer will require details of who the dog belongs to so that a visit can be made to advise the owner of the legal requirement for them to pick it up. If you know who the dog owner is, it would be helpful if you could find out their address and pass it on to the Enforcement Officer.
If there is an area in general where dog fouling is a problem let Waste Services know, so that the area can be added to the monitoring list.
A fixed penalty of £50 may be served on anyone committing an offence under Section 3 of the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 for failing to remove, forthwith, dog faeces.
