Building Control Office Closure - Tuesday 18th April 2017    (Posted April 2017)

The Building Control office will be closed all day on the above date for training purposes. Our team will not be available to carry out site inspections or respond to enquiries until Wed 19th April. Our response to dangerous structure reports will not be affected by this closure.

Approved Documents B & M To Be Reviewed (Posted Feb 2017)

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is planning to update Approved Documents B (Fire safety), and M (Access to and use of buildings). Before doing this, the DCLG sought the opinions and comments of actual and potential users of the documents to make sure that the new documents will meet their needs. New Approved Document R (Posted Feb 2017)

Approved Document R – Physical infrastructure for high-speed electronic communications networks came into effect on 1st January 2017 in England only. It does not apply to any work covered by a building notice, full plans application or initial notice submitted before then.
