Result: Wilburton Parish Poll

On Thursday 10th June 2021, voters in Wilburton, took to the polls to vote as to whether they have confidence that the current Wilburton Parish Council acts in a way that is democratic, accountable and transparent.

The Parish Poll was called following the results of the Camps Field Community Survey 2020 and subsequent decision by Wilburton Parish Council to support the Camps Field planning application.

The polling station at St Peters Hall in Wilburton opened at 4pm and closed at 9pm.

The verification/count venue was at St Peters Hall in Wilburton.

Verification was completed, and the turnout was announced as 30.03%. Counting began straight afterwards.

At 21:40pm, the Deputy Counting Officer for East Cambridgeshire, Emma Grima, declared the count totals for Wilburton, which are as follows: 

The total number of ballot paper counted was 310.

The number of votes cast in favour of a YES was 148.

The number of votes cast in favour of NO was 160.

The total number of rejected ballot papers rejected was 2.

The question has been rejected.
