A blueprint for the future growth of East Cambridgeshire up to 2031 is set to go out to consultation for a final time on Thursday 17 April for residents, businesses and others to have their say.
The Local Plan looks at how much, where and when development should take place. It seeks to ensure development in the district is ‘sustainable’ by meeting the needs of the area.
Katie Child, Principal Forward Planning Officer at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: "The forthcoming consultation follows the hearing sessions which were held by the Planning Inspector in February this year, and seeks comments on a schedule of proposed modifications to the Local Plan. Some of these modifications are minor but others are more substantial as they would change the meaning of a policy or proposal. The Inspector will consider all comments received in relation to the proposed modifications prior to issuing final recommendations in an Inspector's report."
The Schedule of Modifications (along with supporting documents) is available on the Council's website at www.eastcambs.gov.uk or can be viewed at the District Council offices, 8.45am – 5pm Mondays to Thursdays, and 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays.
The closing date for responses is Friday 30 May. Comments can be made in several ways:
