Further support is being offered to businesses in East Cambridgeshire affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) scheme.
The sixth round of the discretionary funding scheme has been launched in response to the four-week pause at Step 3 of the government roadmap announced by the Prime Minister on June 14.
Eligible businesses which lost more than 30% of income between June 21 and July 18 as a result of the restrictions can apply for an up to £1,000 grant.
The scheme covers the worst-hit industries by the pandemic, such as the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors – as well as wedding venues, wholesalers and breweries.
Those operating from a commercial property who meet the criteria will receive a payment of £1,000, while mobile businesses and those operating from a domestic property will benefit from £700.
Community facilities such as village or church halls and scout huts can also claim £700 through the scheme.
Businesses which were not trading before June 14, which were empty, closed voluntarily or which operate as offices or manufacturing businesses are unable to apply.
Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their fixed property costs, business related costs and loss of income when submitting an application to the Council.
The closing date for applications is 5pm Sunday, October 3.
