The Statement of Community Involvement was adopted by the Council on 22 October 2015. The Statement of Community Involvment sets out how East Cambridgeshire District Council will involve and consult with the public and wider stakeholders when planning for the future of the district.
Whilst government sets out minimum requirements for public consultation on planning matters, the Statement of Community Involvement sets out the Council's local commitments to consultation.
The Statement of Community Involvement covers consultation arrangements in respect of both planning applications and planning policy matters, such as the preparation of a new Local Plan.
