Waste collections
Owing to the hot weather for the rest of this week our collection crews will be starting earlier in the morning. Please make sure your waste and recycling is presented at the boundary of your property by 6am on your collection day.
Landlords and letting agents may require a deposit of up to five weeks’ rent plus one month’s rent in advance.
We may be able to offer a rent deposit scheme loan, to assist with securing a property in the private rented sector.

We can also work with you to complete an income and expenditure assessment. This looks at all the money you have coming in and all the money you are likely to have going out.
It takes account of all the essential costs of living you may have to pay, for example gas, electricity, water, Council Tax and TV licence. It also advises you on how much you can afford to spend on rent.
Looking at the property’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) can also help you to compare the utility costs for living in an energy efficient home, which will lead to less money spent on bills.
If you are in receipt of Housing Benefit how much you receive may be dependent on the Local Housing Allowance. You can read more about the Local Housing Allowance and how much you can receive on the Government website.
