When planning applications are received, we check to see that we have all the information we need to make the decision on an application and that the plans, certificates and fee are correct. This process is referred to as the validation of the application.  

It is in your interests to submit the correct information as early as possible as the application cannot be processed until it has passed the validation checks.  

We will only require information that is relevant to the assessment of your application.  

Be aware that certain information is essential before an application can be validated. It is likely that some requirements may change over time and we will update our website to reflect this.
