East Cambridgeshire Community Safety Partnership brings together representatives from the police, Federation of Small Businesses and East Cambridgeshire District Council, as well as other organisations working together to protect the local community from crime and help people feel safe.
The responsible authorities work out how to deal with local issues like antisocial behaviour, drug or alcohol misuse and reoffending. They annually assess local crime priorities and consult partners and the local community about how to deal with them.
The key role of the East Cambridgeshire Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is to understand the kind of community safety issues East Cambs is experiencing, decide which of these are the most important to deal with, and then decide what actions we can take collectively, adding value to the day-to-day work undertaken by our individual agencies and organisations. Actions are detailed in the Community Safety Action Plan which is updated annually using data from our Community Safety Strategic Assessment, Anti-Social Behaviour Deep Dive report 2024 (PDF, 1.53MB).
