I am writing to formally request access to any records, files, or correspondence held by East Cambridgeshire District Council regarding building control, planning enforcement, or inspections relating to:
Grantchester Construction (Eastern) Ltd
Grantchester Construction Eastern Ltd
GCE Builders Ltd
Specifically, I request copies of:
- Any Planning Enforcement Notices, Breach of Condition Notices, Stop Notices, or other formal enforcement actions served on any of the above.
- Any Building Control applications, inspection reports, completion certificates, or compliance records relating to work carried out by any of the above.
- Any correspondence, complaints, or records of investigation regarding alleged non-compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, or construction standards.
- Any historical or archived records related to the above that are not readily available on public registers.

Our electronic records started in 2003. Prior to this we used hard copy paper records. We have therefore checked from 2003 onwards, as to manually check prior to this date would take us over the time limit allowed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
1. There are no records of any Notices being served on the companies listed above.
2. Unlike planning applications, Building Control applications are not public information, and are considered confidential under the terms of Section 9 of The Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014. Copies of building regulation application information such as plans, approvals, inspection reports etc. are only available to the applicants or their appointed agents.
3. To the best of our knowledge based on the searching we have undertaken there is no record of any complaint regarding alleged non-compliance with planning conditions for these companies.
4. To the best of our knowledge based on the searching we have undertaken there is no record of any historical or archived records regarding alleged non-compliance with planning conditions for these companies.
