Licensing committee

You are allowed to speak at licensing committee, but normally only about a specific licence application or review. If you wish to speak, it is your responsibility to check whether the relevant item is on the agenda. You can do this by emailing our democratic services team at democratic.services@eastcambs.gov.uk or calling 01353 665555.

Planning committee

To speak at a planning committee you must register by emailing democratic services at democratic.services@eastcambs.gov.uk by 10am the day before the committee meeting at the latest.

Registration is on a first come, first served basis, so anyone trying to register after someone else will be directed to the first person to arrange how they wish to divide up the time allowed to speak (currently a maximum of five minutes per category of speaker).

Light tower

The planning committee use a light tower for public speaking. During the first four minutes the green light will show. After four minutes an amber light will show to indicate that time is running out. The red light will show when the five minutes allowed has been reached.
