East Cambridgeshire residents are invited to join a fun and free Health and Well Fair taking place at Jubilee Gardens, Ely, on Sunday 13 September.
The event, hosted by East Cambridgeshire District Council, will be a fun day out with a focus on the diverse aspects of health and wellbeing.
The aim is to share with attendees the opportunities to support a healthier lifestyle, including:
- healthy living
- exercise and active lifestyles
- mental health and emotional wellbeing
- financial wellbeing
Among the attractions on the day will be:
- sports taster sessions and information on local opportunities to get active
- free climbing wall and smoothie bikes
- cost of living advice
- Health MOTs by Healthy You
- CPR training and demonstrations from East Anglian Air Ambulance
- advice and support for young people from Centre 33
- information on local clubs, organisations and workshops
East Cambs Community Safety Partnership will also be engaging with residents on safety concerns and sharing advice on many topics including county lines, ASB and knife crime.
Cllr Julia Huffer, chair of the council's Operational Services Committee, said:
“Our popular Health and Well Fair is returning for its fourth year. It is a fantastic opportunity to discover new activities and clubs in our local area, as well as have conversations and find out where you can get help and advice when you need it.
“Many local sports and activity clubs will be on hand for you to try something new and fun on the day, as well as local organisations offering support to residents, at any stage of life.”
The event is being supported by a diverse range of organisations including East Cambridgeshire District Council, East Cambs Community Safety Partnership, Healthy You, The Hive, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Centre 33.
The event is taking place between 11am and 3pm at Jubilee Gardens, Ely, Cambs, CB7 4BJ, on Sunday 13 September.
