Changes to political make-up of the council

Changes to political make-up of the council

As of Thursday, 2 April the political make-up of East Cambridgeshire District Council has changed.

It follows the formation of a new political group to be known as the Conservative and Independent Group.

The formation of the new group means the political make-up of the council has changed as follows:

Conservative and Independent Group: 15 members
Liberal Democrat and Independent Group: 13 members

What this means for the council

Until Full Council on 21 May formally approves new proportionality arrangements, committee seats allocated to political groups remain unchanged.

A full list of councillors, including the chairs and vice chairs of each committee, is available on our district councillor directory.
