Fordham and Isleham district councillor Kelli Pettitt has been re-elected as the Chair of East Cambridgeshire District Council.
This is a civic role to uphold and promote the purposes of the Constitution and preside over meetings of the council so that its business can be carried out efficiently and with regard to the rights of councillors and the interests of the community.
Cllr Keith Horgan, the district councillor for Soham North ward, was re-elected for a second year as Vice Chair.
Their roles for the forthcoming year were confirmed at the council’s Annual Meeting on Thursday (21 May).
The Leader of the council is Cllr Anna Bailey, who represents Downham ward.
Deputy Leader of the council is Cllr Julia Huffer, the district councillor for Fordham and Isleham ward.
Leader of the Liberal Democrat and Independent Group is Cllr Lorna Dupré, who represents Sutton ward; and Deputy Leader is Cllr Christine Whelan, who represents Ely West ward.
Conservative and Independent Group: 15 members
