Have your say on the future of local councils
Residents, businesses and other stakeholders across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are being asked for their views on the future of local government.
Anyone wishing to carry out works to a protected tree with a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or a tree in a conservation area must apply in writing to the council, giving us a minimum of 6 weeks' notice.
A decision will be made within 8 weeks as to whether the works are acceptable or not.
The Planning Portal enables anyone to make planning applications online, including those for works to protected trees. You can apply through the Planning Portal Website.
You can download the relevant application forms and guidance notes below and return to the planning department.
Please ensure that you read our validation page when completing your application and please include a site plan accurately showing the trees on site that will be affected by the proposed works.
There is no fee payable for applications to carry out works to protected trees.
