Rivers and streams
Lots of different types of pollution can affect our rivers and streams from chemical spills and farming run-off to sewage and household waste.
Pollution in rivers and streams is harmful to the environment. It can:
- kill fish and other aquatic life
- affect biodiversity and amenity value
- affect the use of water and land for agriculture
If you spot pollution and suspect it’s sewage Anglian Water will want to identify and investigate as quickly as possible.
