List of all current registered small society lotteries

Please provide the current register of small society lotteries registered with the council under Schedule 11 of the Gambling Act 2005. For each registered society, please include the following fields where held:
• Registered society name
• Registration number / reference
• Date of registration
• Registered contact address
• Contact email address, where held
• Current registration status (active / lapsed / cancelled)

There is a public register requirement under the GA05 legislation that states the principal office of the society should be on the public register; however, a lot of our lotteries are volunteers who use their own personal address, and we therefore do not provide the address or email address on the Public Access portal. The full public register is available for inspection at our offices.
In respect of those requests that were answered in full or partially and the total refused please take this as notice under FOIA, that we:

Section 21 states the following:
1) Information which is reasonably accessible to the applicant otherwise than under Section 1 is exempt information.
2) For the purposes of subsection (1) –
a. Information may be reasonably accessible to the applicant even though it is accessible only on payment, and
b. Information is to be taken to be reasonably accessible to the applicant if it is information which the public authority or any other person is obliged by or under any enactment to communicate (otherwise than by making the information available for inspection) to members of the public on request, whether free of charge or on payment.
Therefore, as the Council publish this information, the information is exempt from disclosure under Section 21 of the Act.
