Received 7 May 2026

Please may you provide me with the latest information held on graffiti cleaning and budgets/spending in East Cambridgeshire District Council for the past 2 years 2025, and budgeted for 2026 (or the most recently available data for a 2 year period). Information should include:

1) Total number of graffiti instances reported in 2025

2) Total number of graffiti instances resolved in 2025, e.g. cleaned/removed

3) Total council spending on graffiti removal/cleaning in 2025 (if the exact spend isn't available, how much was budgeted?)

4) Total council budget for graffiti removal/cleaning in 2026

5) Estimated typical response time for Council to remove/clean graffiti after it is reported

Responded 5 June 2026

1) We report by financial year. The total number of graffiti reports from 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2026 were 14

2) Of these that were on council owned property or were deemed offensive, all were removed.

3) We do not hold specific information on the cost of graffiti removal. The Council’s street cleansing spend was £1,082,888. This covers road sweeping, litter removal, emptying of litter and dog bins, fly tipping and graffiti removal.

4) £1,284,471

5) Offensive graffiti is 24 hours and non-offensive 5 working days (on Council – owned property only)
