The Indoor Sports Facilities Strategy, Playing Pitch Strategy and Outdoor Sports Facilities Strategy set out assessments of needs and strategic recommendations for the district in terms of built leisure facilities and formal open spaces for sports, leisure and physical activity.
Sport England's Active Design guidance seeks to help planners, designers and everyone involved in delivering and managing our places to create and maintain active environments. The guidance has 10 principles with the foundation principle being 'Activity for all'.
