Residents, businesses and other stakeholders across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are being asked for their views on the future of local government.
Held every four years to elect the new councillors to the district council.
Next election of whole council: May 2027
Parish councils, Town councils and the City of Ely council hold elections every four years alongside the district council to elect councillors for the parishes in East Cambridgeshire.
Next elections: May 2027
Held every four years to help elect the police and crime commissioner for the whole of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Next election: 2 May 2028
Held every four years, between district council elections, to elect the eight county councillors covering East Cambridgeshire.
Next election: May 2025
Held every four years to help elect the Mayor for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough combined authority.

Held every five years to help elect a member of parliament for the Ely and East Cambridgeshire constituency.
Next elections: 2029
Occasionally by-elections are held, usually for the district or county councils, when a councillor leaves their position for whatever reason. These are one-off elections and only apply to an individual ward or division where an election is held to replace the person vacating their position as a councillor.
