An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our evolving Planning Team at East Cambridgeshire District Council as a S106 Officer on a permanent basis
If you are a customer focused, professional, team-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills, then we would like to hear from you.
You will lead on S106 agreement negotiations, monitoring and spend for the Council, ensuring spend supports the Council’s requirements. A methodical approach along with excellent negotiating skills will be required.
You will hold a Business Administration qualification (or equivalent), alongside knowledge of developer contributions; CIL and S106. As an Excel and Access super user, you will be able to use a wide range of computer software to collate, query, analyse, interpret and present data.
In this post you will develop and write performance and financial reports and assist with audits for committees, finance, other colleagues and Freedom of Information requests.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, can work independently and identify innovative solutions to everyday challenges, striving continually to improve service delivery.
You will provide support to the Planning Manager in the development and delivery of wider strategic work, strong collaboration and influencing skills in the design and delivery of the planning service are essential.
This role includes line manager responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide exceptional leadership and management skills, and can motivate and coach their team, always leading by example
