£33,706 per annum plus overtime
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with contractual weekend working during catch up periods.

East Cambs Street Scene Ltd. are currently looking to employ a number of permanent Class 2 HGV Drivers.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, hard-working people to help us deliver a vital service to our communities. If you are a good team player, have a positive attitude to work and enjoy working outdoors then we want to hear from you.
You will be based at our operations depot in the district of East Cambridgeshire. We will provide training in all aspects of the role and will pay for you to keep your Certificate of Professional Competence up to date.
Your responsibilities
Leading and directing a small team of loaders, you will be responsible for collecting waste throughout the district and other duties relating to delivering the Street Scene service. Ensuring that customers receive a high-quality service, responding to customer enquiries out on your round and reporting back any issues to the office team.
As a Class 2 HGV Driver you will use your exceptional driving skills to navigate the challenging roads of East Cambs district and be responsible for organising the collection crew’s work on a defined collection round.
You will be looking out for your team and customers to ensure they stay safe and you will provide advice, direction and on the job training for all new employees and agency workers to ensure they follow safe systems of work guidance.
Essential skills and experience
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- Decision making skills to conduct dynamic risk assessments on the rounds, considering external factors
- Customer focussed and confident at responding to customer enquiries professionally
- High degree of safety awareness with the ability to undertake decisions on crew and personal safety
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends
- Experience of driving heavy good vehicles within a customer orientated business
- Holder of category C driving licence and a Driver Qualification card
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate work and set clear directions for others
- Planning and organisational skills to ensure the effective and efficient use of time and resources
