Our reception is open to residents and visitors from Monday 19 July, following the move into Step 4 of the government Covid-19 roadmap.
Face-to-face enquiries relating to housing drop-ins, planning, environmental health, licensing and Sanctuary Housing will all commence from the date above.
Safety measures such as hands sanitisers, screens and the regular cleaning of meeting rooms connected to reception will be in place for the safety of visitors and staff.
While wearing a face covering will be optional, we will have face coverings available for visitors and staff for those who feel more comfortable wearing them.
As we are implementing this process of reopening, a member of the customer services team will be available at the entrance of reception to direct your enquiry.
They will be monitoring the number of people in reception and asking visitors to queue safely outside if our customer services team are already serving other residents.
Processing of payments, for example for Council tax, will not be undertaken in reception. We would request that alternative methods continue to be used. This includes online payments or undertaking payments over the phone through our customer services team or automated payment telephone numbers ((01353) 616492 or (01353) 616493). The automated payment lines are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
To ensure that all those in reception feel comfortable with the new arrangements, we would appreciate that visitors to reception limit the number people present when discussing their enquiry with our teams
