ARB was established by Parliament in 1997 to regulate the architects’ profession
in the UK. They are an independent, public interest body and our work in regulating
architects ensures that good standards within the profession are consistently
maintained for the benefit of the public and architects alike.
RICS are a professional body that accredits professionals within the land, property and
construction sectors worldwide. They regulate and promote the profession; maintain the
highest educational and professional standards; protect clients and consumers via a
strict code of ethics; and provide impartial advice and guidance.
The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) is the lead qualifying body
for Architectural Technology and represents those practising and studying within the
discipline. CIAT qualifies Chartered Architectural Technologists, MCIAT, and
professionally qualified Architectural Technicians, TCIAT.
Formed in 1925 as the Incorporated Association of Architects and Surveyors, the
Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) is a leading body for professionals
specialising in the design, construction, evaluation and maintenance of buildings.
CIOB are a professional body for construction management and leadership.
They have a Royal Charter to promote the science and practice of building and
construction for the benefit of society, and we’ve been doing that since 1834.
Our members work worldwide in the development, conservation and
improvement of the built environment.
