Confirmation of Ely Southern Bypass Funding.

Cllr James Palmer, Leader of the Council states

"I am delighted that the Government have confirmed their support for the Ely Southern bypass by granting funding of £16m. 

 This has been a long process, but I am confident that the residents of East Cambridgeshire will soon see the benefits of all the work that has been put into getting the bypass built.

 These are exciting times in East Cambridgeshire with the bypass, cinema and leisure centre all scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.

 We have a strong local economy and a growing population and our aim is to continue our infrastructure improvements across the district."
