Submission and examination
The District Council has preparied a new Local Plan for East Cambridgeshire. A draft Local Plan was submitted to Government on 29th August 2013, and further proposed modifications were published for consultation in October 2013 and April 2014.
The Secretary of State appointed Michael Hetherington BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI an Inspector from the Planning Inspectorate to consider the soundness of the Plan. The Inspector held a series of hearing sessions in February 2014 and a further hearing session on the 23rd June 2014.

Following the further hearing session on the 23rd June 2014 the Inspector issued his interim conclusions. The Inspector's interim conclusions and the Council's response can be viewed by clicking on the links below:

The Inspector's Report relating to the Local plan and Modifications have been issued . These were considered at Full Council on 21st April 2015.
